We’re looking for volunteers to help us in our Littleport Charity Shop.

Do you have some spare time on your hands that you are willing to use to help Branching Out to support adults with learning disabilities to live active and fulfilling lives?

We need volunteers in our charity shop to help us with tasks such as steam cleaning clothing and serving customers on the till.  Our charity shop is essential to bring in the much needed revenue to support the charity. We receive a large amount of donations on a daily basis that need sorting, cleaning and displaying, ensuring that the shop always has wonderful new stock.

So aside from the benefits to us, what can volunteering do for you?

Volunteering is a great way to be involved in your local community, it gives you the opportunity to meet people and make new friends. It can also provide you with a great sense of reward and purpose, knowing that the time you give is invaluable to helping others. You also can learn new skills and experiences to add to your cv. If you’re unemployed or retired volunteering can help give you a daily routine, and the opportunity to utilise the skills and experiences you already have.

We can also promise you full training, a fun and friendly atmosphere, and plenty of tea and biscuits!

If you are interested in helping us, or would like more information please give our head office a call on 01353 863221

Branching Out is proud to be members of the Living Wage Foundation

Living Wage Transparent Logo

The living wage is an hourly rate set independently and updated annually by the Centre for Social Policy at Loughborough University. The rate is calculated according to the basic cost of living in the UK. It is enough to ensure that all our staff and their families can live free from poverty and reward them fairly for the work they do.
